"For this reason we must pay much closer attention to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away from it."  Hebrews 2: 1

Dear Brethren,  In Oelsnitz we have been going through Ezra, Nehemiah, Esther and combining their teachings with those of the prophets Haggai, Zechariah and Malachi.  One of  the most important thoughts in these books, is that the Jews should return to the Laws of Moses and that they should rebuild Israel based on the principals that God gave at the time of Moses.  The Jews had drifted away from God because they ignored or watered down the message that God gave through his servant Moses.  This is not to say that they rejected God in the sense that they stopped believing in Him.  They still followed after Him, at least in name,  but they ignored, changed or watered down the commands of God.  This did not happen over night, no it was a slow process over many years.  Malachi calls the Jews to repent and to return to God and the laws he gave through Moses.  For those who would not listen; Malachi warned of the coming Judgment Day.

It is no different today.  Over the years we tend to slowly drift away, watering down the Word of God and changing what God has given (for the teachings of man) so that it appeases the world.  The question then as it is today; do we want to please God or the World?  Let us listen to words of God in Hebrews 2: 1.

This last Sunday my sermon was called Lessons for the Church from Malachi.  Malachi has some very portent lessons  for us today.  Truly the Word of God is eternal!

Now that our campaign has ended things have calmed down.  The campaign went well in Chemnitz too!  There were many visitors and the name of God was praised.  Many new contacts were made, we now only need to follow up where we can.  We can only plant the seed and water, it is God who gives the increase.  Please keep the follow-up in your prayers.

I would like to thank all the Christians who have kept Clyde Antwine in your prayers.  The last report I had was that the new P.E.T and C.T. scans were very good, no new cancer was found, PTL.  His doctor has given him permission to fly, so Clyde and Gwen plan to visit Belgium where Clyde has been asked to bring a lesson for the European Lectureships. Once again thank you for your prayers.

Stefan still has three weeks of school.  I noticed that he is ready for a break.  Yesterday afternoon we visited his grandparents, Stefan and I played some soccer in the backyard.  The weather has been great the last two days.  The great humidity is gone it is now only sunny and warm.  In the evenings it cools down and is comfortable for sleeping.  Remember that most homes in Germany don't have air conditioning.

Our preparation for moving is continuing.  We have been doing some packing.  Our container will come at the end of the month.  Please keep our move in your prayers.

We thank all who have prayed for us and have supported us.  We will never forget your love for God and for us.
